Uses / Indications:

3A 250mg Tablet DT is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and typhoid fever. It is used in bacterial infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

Interactions / Warnings:

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with 3A 250mg Tablet DT.

Pregnancy interaction:

3A 250mg Tablet DT is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Expert advice:

3a will cure your infection and improve symptoms. It may cause an upset stomach. If this happens to you, take it with food. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Do not take antacids 2 hours before or after taking 3a.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. 3A 250mg Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

3A 250mg Tablet DT is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
